FAQs

Can I attend an Open Day?

Yes! We will post information about upcoming open days here soon. This will be an opportunity to ask questions and to hear about our programmes, the application process and the student experience.

How is my application considered?

We consider your application through the following process:

  • Once you have submitted your UCAS application you will receive an acknowledgement from UCAS and, subsequently, an acknowledgement from UCL. Your acknowledgement from UCAS will include your UCAS personal identity number. Please quote this in all correspondence with UCAS or UCL. Following initial checking of your application to ensure you meet the essential academic requirements of UCL and the programme for which you have applied, your application will be forwarded to the relevant admissions selector for consideration.
  • We do not conduct interviews. Your application will be assessed on the basis of your personal statement and your referee's report as well as on your past and predicted academic performance. Our admissions selectors are trying to assess qualities such as your academic potential, your motivation for studying your chosen degree, as well as core skills that are required for the programme.
  • Our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Policy and Strategy underlies every aspect of our student selection process. We want to admit excellent students who are likely to complete their degree programme successfully and derive benefit from it, regardless of age, disability, ethnic origin, gender identity, marital status, sex, sexual orientation, number of dependants and religious or political beliefs. We positively encourage and welcome applications from members of underrepresented groups.
Can I apply for more than one programme?

You can apply for a maximum of two of our programmes at the same time but can only accept one offer from us.

My application has been unsuccessful, can I apply for feedback?

Unfortunately, due to the number of applications we recieve, we are unable to offer feedback.

My application has been unsuccessful, can I appeal the decision?

Decisions on the admission of applicants are final and there is normally no right of appeal.

Complaints relating to an applicant for admission will be considered if there is substantive evidence of irregularity in the procedure under which the application has been processed. Complaints should be addressed to bartlett.faculty@ucl.ac.uk.

I've received a conditional offer, what's next?

Your offer will stipulate the evidence of qualifications and English proficiency that we require from you and the deadline for you to send them to us.

I've received an unconditional offer, what's next?

Congratulations! We hope you are looking forward to joining us. You will be sent an email towards the end of August inviting you to start the online enrolment process. In the meantime, you may wish to visit our dedicated 'Undergraduate offer holders' page to find out all you need to know before September.

I can't come this year after all, can I defer my offer?

You will need to email your request to defer to your Programme Administrator, who is listed on the UG programmes webpage. Please include your UCAS ID, full name and reason why you wish to defer.  If your request is approved, you will need to log into UCAS Track to check and accept this change.

I have been accepted by UCL but I want to change my degree, is that possible?

Due to oversubscription, it is very unlikely that we will be able to facilitate requests to transfer onto BSP undergraduate programmes. Please contact Danielle Sanderson, UG Admissions Tutor, after A Level results have been released in August who can then advise if we have capacity. Transfers within the three programmes can usually be accommodated before the start of your degree.

Can I study part-time?

All of our undergraduate programmes run on a full-time basis only.
