27 April 2012

Eric Pisani

Congratulations are due to Eric Pisani, postgraduate student at the Bartlett School of Planning, who has been awarded the John Heasman Bursary.

Postgraduate student, Eric Pisani, who is currently studying for an MSc in Sustainable Urbanism at the Bartlett School of Planning, has been awarded part of the John Heasman Bursary for research contributing to advancing knowledge of the parking sector and increasing professionalism.

Eric’s report, 'How Might Parking Provision be Used in the Context of Supporting Sustainable Travel and Sustainable Urbanism?' consists of a review and analysis of sustainable practices for the parking sector, including: parking supply, cost, facility type, and 'green' parking. The paper included a discussion on cultural factors influencing policy and international case studies.

The bursary is provided on behalf of the British Parking Association (BPA). Eric’s work is to be published in part by the BPA for its members, as either a practice note or in the magazine "Parking News".
