Ali Crossdale

Bartlett School of Planning undergraduate, Ali Crossdale, has been selected for the England senior men's rugby squad, joining training camps to prepare for international fixtures over the autumn and winter. Ali, who is in the third year of the Urban Studies programme juggles full-time studies with professional sport at Saracens rugby club in North London.

He has previously represented England under-20s, featuring in the 2017 and 2018 World Rugby Championships. Ali described the step-up to training under England head coach Eddie Jones as ‘really intense’ but ‘immensely enjoyable!’. Unfortunately, an injury picked-up whilst training meant that Ali was not available for England’s recent Six Nations championship match against Italy, but he is putting the time to good use by forging ahead with his academic work.
