KSBC

The ceremony was hosted by Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson with the award presented by Ruth Cadbury MP. The event showcased the best of West London business. The judges recognised in particular KSBC’s innovative approach to developing their technology framework through Innovate UK and the KTP programme, their rapid business growth over the past three years, and the potential for future growth with their framework prototype. The award is the product of 3 years of hard work developing their Technology Performance Certification, the past year in partnership with University College London part funded by Innovate UK, the UK’s Innovation Agency, through its Knowledge Transfer Partnership programme.

Peter McLennan, Bartlett School of Planning and Bartlett Real Estate Institute; and Ben Croxford, UCL Institute of Environmental Design of Engineering, are the UCL academic supervisors to the 2-years funded Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) programme set up between UCL, KSBC, and Innovate UK. The KTP programme with KSBC seeks to develop KSBC’s framework for evaluating a commercial building's technological service characteristics into an industry standard. Ljiljana Marjanovic-Halburd, now of De Montfort University, is an additional academic advisor. The Knowledge Associate working on the project is Amer Alwarea.
