Career achievement award to Michael Edwards

Congratulations to Michael Edwards (The Bartlett School of Planning, UCL) who was awarded the Provost's Public Engagement Career Achievement Prize for his work in bringing planning students together with London citizens and groups and the exceptional changes that this has made both at UCL and to the lives of the people he works with in London.

This year the panel decided to award this special prize to reflect the outstanding contribution that Michael has made to public engagement as a lecturer in the Bartlett School of Planning.

The prize was presented to Michael by the UCL Provost Professor Michael Arthur at the awards ceremony that took place on 28th January. A full acceptance speech from Michael is on his blog, and you can find out more about public engagement at UCL, as well as full biographies of all the winners, on the Public Engagement Unit website.
