The Bartlett Arts Club

The Bartlett Arts Club is a Doctoral Network that connects across disciplines and schools within The Bartlett and the wider UCL community, bringing together doctoral students and members of staff.

It is a platform to explore, encourage and bring together people with an interest in art, by proposing topical forums and facilitating social activities.  We are committed to promoting members’ curiosity and skills for artistic understanding and practice, while strengthening networks within and beyond the Bartlett.

Social activities will include art walks that discuss the origins of street art, visits to London’s various art galleries, an annual student art exhibition, and arts skills workshops.  Forums will cover topics such as the impact of art in the use of urban environments, intersections between art and politics, street art as a tool to directly and freely communicate with public in an unrestrained manner.  Talks by artists, patrons, and curators will feature as part of the club’s agenda.

The Bartlett Arts Club aims to build an inclusive network based on a shared interest in art. Starting from our shared expertise, we aim to focus our initial activities on the relationships between art, society and the built environment, with a vision to expanding the scope of the Club and making it relevant to the wider UCL community.
