The Archisource Drawing of the Year Awards highlight creative imagery, drawings and visual representations around the world across architecture, art and design. The awards, established in 2019, have a prize fund of £125,000, and also offer the opportunity for entrants to have their work exhibited in London and published internationally.
Two of the top prizes went to Bartlett alumni, and two more alumni were honoured at this year’s awards.

‘Tectonics I’ by Maria Antonia Vogeler Balcazar, Engineering & Architectural Design MEng, 2024
Anna Pang (Architecture MArch, PG12, 2025) won the Mixed Media Award for ‘The Tales of Liminality’, her Master’s first year project which explored Venice as a site of liminality, inspired by its silk-weaving history and its place at the east-west intersection of the Silk Roads. The project also won the Design Realisation Prize, the Year 4 Architectural Design Prize and a Narinder Sagoo Drawing Prize nomination at The Bartlett Summer Show 2024. Anna also had a piece of work recognised in last year’s Archisource Awards.
Ying You (Annette) Wong (Landscape Architecture MLA, 2023) was the Digital Media Award winner, with her project ‘Cultivate Rainforest Commons’, which was also exhibited at The Bartlett Autumn Show 2022. Her project proposes the transformation of commons from bracken-invaded moorland to temperate rainforest with phased management.
Jennifer Oguguo (Architecture March, PG11, 2024) won the Highly Commended spot in the Digital Drafting category for ‘Islington’s Living Rooms - Public Craft Studios’, a live/work scheme informed by feminist theory and dedicated to craft education.
In the same category, ‘Tectonics I’ by Maria Antonia Vogeler Balcazar (Engineering & Architectural Design MEng, 2024) – a drawing from her final project ‘Mnemonic Museum of Shipbuilding’, which embarked on collective memory-building in Deptford – won a Special Mention.
Seven creative practitioners and industry experts formed this year’s judging panel:
- Narinder Sagoo MBE, Senior Partner, Foster + Partners
- Jim Heverin, Director, Zaha Hadid Architects
- Sam Hudson, Art Director, Hayes Davidson
- Will Jefferies, Associate, RSHP
- Eliza Grosvenor, Head of Programme, London Festival of Architecture
- Emily Glynn and Mansel Haynes, Co-Founders, Archisource & London Creates
The winning projects were also exhibited at London’s Truman Brewery in July. You can explore all the Bartlett winners’ projects in detail at The Bartlett Show Archive.
