EPB has grown dramatically from two issues a year in 1974 to nine issues a year in 2023. This celebration reflects the fact that the journal, its editors and its readers are keenly aware of developments in the field. It is a great opportunity to examine how the field has changed over five decades, and the change to come in future years.
