Applications open for 'Walking the City' outreach course

Aimed at 16-18 year old state school students who want to learn more about the ideas and processes involved in studying architecture, this course will run from 15 July to 4 August 2023.

Applications for The Bartlett Outreach's free, 'Walking the City' summer school are now open. Created in collaboration with STORE, students will discover how trainers are made, what materials are used, and where they are produced. They will have the opportunity to design and make your very own trainer designed for the urban explorer, guided by some of the best architects and designers working in London.

The aim of this course is to introduce participants to a wide range of ideas and processes that can be found in an undergraduate course at The Bartlett School of Architecture.
Eligibility
To attend, participants should be:
- attending a non-selective UK state school
- currently in Year 11 or 12
- on track to meet the minimum entry requirements to study for an undergraduate degree at The Bartlett
- have achieved or predicted a Grade 5/C or above in GCSE English and Mathematics
- keenly interested in the built environment.
