The event was a showcase of cutting-edge research by academics, researchers and partners, with four panel discussions around the themes of: energy transition and net zero societies; resilience and adaptation; energy transition in built environment, data and digitalisation; energy transition - behaviour in transport.
Each of the four sessions explored challenges posed by the energy transition to net zero in different areas of the sector that correspond to our research, whilst also looking at how to ensure energy affordability and security and addressing the resilience of the energy system against future disruptions.
The panel sessions saw UCL Energy Institute staff and industry partners presenting past and current research projects, with audience questions asked and concluded with research posters presented by current PhD students.
