It's a huge honour to be joining the ISR team and to be recognised in this way. ISR, the Bartlett and UCL have earned global reputations for the quality of the research, teaching and public/policy engagement done here, and I'm greatly looking forward to making a contribution. I particularly look forward to trying to inspire many more students to become involved in the global rewilding movement, or to pursue leadership roles in the environmental movement more widely.

We are delighted that Alister is joining us in ISR. Across UCL, Honorary staff play a significant role in our teaching, research and impact work. Alister has already helped one UCL Masters student find her way into the world of work via a Research Internship at the Global Rewilding Alliance and then on to a paid role elsewhere. Alister’s leadership skills and expertise will be particularly valuable for our students, and for helping us to use our research to tackle climate change and nature degradation.
