Before enrolling on the Sustainable Resources: Economics Policy and Transitions MSc (SR:EPT) programme, Fitria obtained a Bachelor of Economics in Accounting from Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University in Indonesia. Subsequently, she worked in the Finance and Accounting Department at Pertamina Group. Afterwards, she pursued studies in this programme with the Indonesian Endowment Fund for Education Scholarship (LPDP).
Why did you apply for this master's programme?
I applied for SR: EPT because I recognise the urgent need for experts to address the climate crisis, particularly in my country, Indonesia. There is immense untapped potential due to the scarcity of experts in technical fields, strategic policy-making, and effective communication of funding requirements, in which, these skills are crucial for driving green energy projects and addressing the climate crisis. Aside from it, I believe SR: EPT, as a part of The Bartlett Faculty of Built Environment, will give optimal learning experience and career advancement opportunities."
During this programme, Fitria obtained new knowledge and strengthened her skills.
The MSc in Sustainable Resources: Ecnomics Policy and Transitions has greatly enhanced my expertise and skills in decarbonisation. This programme uniquely integrates technical, strategic, and policy implementations, cultivating students to become effective problem solvers in addressing the pressing challenges of the climate crisis."
