Professor David Eaves joins UCL IIPP as Associate Professor in Digital Government

?It is an honor to be coming to the IIPP and have a chance to work support the Institute’s mission while working with colleagues and leaders in the government and technology space like Rainer Kattel, Mike Bracken, Tim O’Reilly and Francesca Bria. Mariana’s commitment to push for a re-investment in state capacity is what drives me to work with governments on how technology can help them re-imagining and create public value. This is a critical moment where governments are laying down the digital infrastructure that will underpin how government work in the 21st century. It is important that we do that with a critical eye on how we create value, as well as ensuring it does so in ways that address challenges of inequality, power and justice. I can’t think of a better place to be doing that work.’
