I am delighted to have been given the opportunity to direct The Bartlett’s Professional Studies programmes. I look forward to working with architects poised on the threshold of practicing professionally and helping them to develop a deep understanding of professionalism, ethics and competence and the social purpose of architecture, as well as addressing climate literacy.Architecture Part 3 is often perceived as the last hurdle to overcome before practicing as an architect rather than an educational opportunity. I look forward to working with colleagues to reframe the candidate experience and rethink the curriculum, building on the work of my predecessor Professor Susan Ware.
