The Alan Turing Institute welcomed a new cohort of over 400 outstanding Turing Fellows, who will retain fellowships for the next 12 months.
Turing Fellows are scholars with proven research excellence in data science, artificial intelligence or a related field whose research would be significantly enhanced through active involvement with the Turing network of universities and partners.
Aidan O'Sullivan is Associate Professor in Energy and Artificial Intelligence at UCL Energy Institute. Aidan's research at the Turing will be focused on how artificial intelligence methods can be deployed to improve the efficiency of the energy system, from how electricity is generated to how the National grid is operated.
At UCL Energy Institute Aidan leads the Energy Systems and Artificial Intelligence Lab and the department's Data Analytics research theme. He is also the founding course director of the Energy Systems and Data Analytics MSc, an innovative programme that combines the study of energy systems and sustainability with data science and machine learning.
Aidan was also previously awarded a Turing Fellowship in 2018.
