PPE Hive is a web-based application that enables PPE supply chains to form quickly, by connecting people who need PPE with those who have the necessary materials for manufacture and can provide transportation of goods.
The platform was created by Mollie, Gilles and Manuel through their design and technology consultancy Automated Architecture (AUAR), in collaboration with digital agency Calvium, and is currently being trialled within Bristol, UK, before being opened up to the wider community.
PPE Hive was born out of a wish to not sit idly by during the Covid-19 crisis, and instead use our expertise and capabilities to help get PPE to those in need. Built in only 3 weeks in collaboration with Calvium, PPE Hive was created as an adaptive architecture based on principles of mutual aid and trust that can be used post-crisis to serve other public needs.

PPE Hive are currently fundraising to support further development of the application and a scale up to a UK-wide release.
