Arinjoy’s drawings reference the craft of weaving and ancient Mughal painting as a form of Utopianism, from which he generates an architectural world that attempts to move away from riots and clashes towards a productive insurgency.
The judges made a rare unanimous decision that Arinjoy’s interpretation of the Kashmiri craft of carpet weaving was worthy of the top prize.
