The course will provide attendees with a critical perspective on the ‘grand-challenges’ facing modern economies including falling productivity, investment and living standards, widening inequality, financial instability and the growing threat of climate change. The course combines academic lectures from some of the world’s leading new economic thinkers with policy lectures from leading policy makers and influencers. This year’s guest lecturers include Michael Jacobs, Carlota Perez, Engelbert Stockhammer, Eric Beinhocker, Andy Haldane, Danny Dorling and Dimitri Zenghelis along with IIPP staff, Mariana Mazzucato (Director of IIPP), Rainer Kattel and Josh Ryan-Collins.
