The UCL Institute for Sustainable Resources delivers world-leading research, teaching and enterprise in the sustainable use of global resources. The Research Fellow will contribute to the LINKS project (ERC Starting Grant), which aims to explore the role of the financial system to foster the low-carbon transition using the quantitative instruments of network science. The ideal candidate is a highly quantitative, analytical person with an expert knowledge of computer programming, a keen interest in climate finance, complex systems and multi-disciplinary research.
The post is for 24 months in the first instance, further funding to support the post may be available.
Key requirements
The post holder will have a PhD in a quantitative field (e.g. Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science), or related quantitative field related to the subject area and/or required skills, or equivalent through other research of work experience. Excellent programming skills in at least one programming language such as Python, R, MATLAB and/or similar. Deep knowledge of research techniques and methodologies in Network Science, Data Science or Complex Systems.
