DPU Director accepts invitation to become a fellow at the Institution of Civil Engineers

With a membership of 93,000 in tens of countries, ICE is the oldest and one of the most respected professional engineering associations in the world. Founded in 1818, its first President was the Scottish engineer Thomas Telford, a pioneer of modern engineering and designer of over 1,000 bridges. According to the ICE, a Fellowship "is a mark of professional excellence, and an endorsement of leadership, knowledge, skills and experience... Fellows are often known and respected in the industry for their expertise."
 Julio looks forward to working with ICE colleagues with a view to exchanging ideas about the contribution that infrastructure can make to the challenges of rapid urbanisation, and social and spatial fragmentation in Global South cities.
