The academic career is very tough for researchers with caring responsibilities, including parents and the main carers of family members with (long-term) illness. CASA’s Dr Ana Basiri, along with UCL’s Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Initiatives, hosted a one day seminar on Wednesday 20th June addressing these issues, to look at the challenges of developing an academic career while having caring responsibilities, the support available for those facing these challenges, and the future actions that could be taken.
This event is open to PhD students, postdoctoral researchers, teaching and research fellows, and academic staff from different departments, background, gender, race, and experience levels.
