UCL-Energy is a multidisciplinary school within the Bartlett Faculty, with around 70 faculty and staff and 60 PhD students. The UCL Energy Institute develops and undertakes research in the areas of energy-demand and energy systems, to improve energy security and facilitate a transition to a low-carbon economy.

The UCL Energy Institute is seeking to appoint a Teaching Fellow to develop and enable Masters level teaching in UCL-Energy. Key responsibilities are: To lead on the conversion of the MRes Energy Demand Studies into an MSc and serve as Deputy Course Director for the new MSc Energy Systems and Data Analytics (ESDA), plus leading the MSc ESDA dissertation process, as Dissertation Tutor
Develop and teach the core module – Energy Analytics in the Built Environment – in the new MSc ESDA

This is an open ended core funded post.

Key Requirements

Essential attributes of a successful candidate are:              

  • A PhD (or in the process of submitting a PhD) in a quantitative field relevant to Energy Demand, including but not limited to, the built environment, engineering, economics and data analytics; 
  • Ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing, with students, academic and administrative staff at all levels 
  • Previous experience of teaching in higher education, including the ability to deliver and develop programmes of teaching at graduate level
  • Experience of providing pastoral support to students
