Exploring themes of spatiality and temporality, ‘Within the Horizon’ by Quynh Vantu uses both video and contemporary dance to choreograph The Hedmark Museum’s unique history and architecture. The installation will run 20–28 May 2017 and feature across the museum’s site.
Designed by architect Sverre Fehn on the site of a ruined medieval cathedral, the award-winning design of the contemporary museum interacts with the site’s rich history, combining both past and present. Through ‘Within the Horizon’, Vantu looks forward to adding a further layer of spatio-temporal experience for the museum’s curious visitors.
On 27 May, Vantu will be in conversation with the museum’s curator Susanne Ewerlöf, discussing the exhibition and her practice to date.
