Congratulations to Greg Erhardt who completed and passed his PhD in record time: some two and a half years since he started. Greg is a civil engineer and transport planner and will be starting as an Assistant Professor at the University of Kentucky in August, increasing CASA’s complement of alumni to five Professors in the United States.
Greg’s thesis was entitled Fusion of Large Continuously Collected Data Sources: Understanding Travel Demand Trends and Measuring Transport Project Impacts. Our expertise in CASA within the domain of transport modelling is growing with the team including - Alan Wilson, Mike Batty, Ed Manley and Chen Zhong all working in the field in some shape or form. We are currently encouraging PhD applications in this area particularly in real time sensing of mobility, transport networks, and microsimulation of transport flows and demands.
