  • Adam Dennett wins 2016 Student Choice Award for Outstanding Teaching

We are delighted to report that Dr Adam Dennett was a proud recipient of the 2016 Student Choice Award for Outstanding Teaching, presented by the Provost at the UCLU Teaching & Learning Conference. Only three winners were selected from the 143 staff nominated in this category.

Adam, who is Course Director of our MSc Smart Cities and Urban Analytics programme, said “what a lovely surprise this was! I’m very humbled to have been nominated, let alone to have won. Many thanks to all of the brilliant students in CASA who have made teaching an absolute joy and made the course such a successful one”

CASA colleagues Ed Manley, Steven Gray, Elsa Arcaute and Alan Wilson were also nominated for Outstanding Teaching, whilst Lisa Cooper, our Teaching and Learning Adminstrator, received nominations for Outstanding Support for Teaching and Outstanding Personal Support.

The Student Choice Teaching Awards (SCTAs) have been entirely developed by students - they developed the criteria, created the name and make up the entirety of the judging panel. They have been developed in partnership with UCL to reward and celebrate our outstanding members of staff.  The full Roll of Honour for the Student Choice Teaching Awards 2016 can be found here.
