Job Opportunity: Project and Communications Officer (London Prosperity Index)

We have an exciting opportunity for a part-time Project and Communications Officer to work on our London Prosperity Index


The role

The Institute for Global Prosperity is looking for a motivated individual to join our growing team on a part-time basis for the London Prosperity Index (LPI) Project and Communications Officer post. 

Salary: £15.01hr - £16.25 

Part time: 33 days over 3 months (approximately 50% FTE)

What we need from you

The successful applicant must have excellent organisation, verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills. Project management and event organisation experience is essential. Desirable experience includes previous writing and copy-editing experience, knowledge of CMS, as well as previous experience in handling a social media portfolio that includes Facebook and Twitter. 

What you'll do with us

  • Develop the Prosperity Index User Toolkit, which will involve organising meetings for our User Group, capturing feedback and working it into a design brief for the website/toolkit
  • Working with a graphic designer to develop the Prosperity Index Toolkit including the development of visual content and copy for materials and the website
  • Working with our communities in East London to capture feedback
  • Maintaining the London Prosperity Board (LPB) website with new content
  • Providing organisational support for the LPI launch in May 2019, including co-ordinating guestlists, managing speakers, booking and managing the venue, and producing communications materials such as a report, exhibition materials and postcards
  • Managing a social media campaign for the LPI launch
  • Working with the Communications and Impact Officer on the press campaign for the LPI launch
