The Institute for Global Prosperity will take part in this years BigDataLDN Conference with Newham London, in a closing keynote addressing and launching NewhamSparks Chapter 2 report. 
In this keynote, the Mayor of Newham Rokhsana Fiaz OBE will be joined by UCL’s Institute of Global Prosperity to discuss the findings and recommendations from Newham Sparks Chapter 2 - Unleashing the power of data to drive shared prosperity: A roadmap to a transformative data society. The research collaboration explored the potential scale of the Data Sector in Newham, London and the UK, examining scope for inclusive economic growth and job creation, education and skills training needs, and the social value that data can generate for citizens and communities. It aims to inform and influence wider national and regional policy to drive the growth of the Data Sector in Newham, in London as a city and the UK as a whole.

The Research Hub aims at understanding the economic and social value systems, taking into consideration country-specific historical conjunctures and cultural features. At the same time, it intends to shed light on the evolution of developmental paradigms in the region and evaluate individual Asian countries’ systemic changes over time.
