The speaker
Silvia Dorado-Banacloche is an associate professor of management at the College of Management, UMass, Boston. She is also senior editor of Organization Studies (https://journals.sagepub.com/home/oss) and a board member of the DPI Group (https://thedpigroup.com/); a large and diversified social enterprise devoted to generate employment for individuals with disabilities.

In her research, Dr. Dorado has explored actors and actorhood in the tackling of Grand Challenges as well as the founding, management, and challenges of social enterprises. She has published on these topics in some of the top journals in management including Academy of Management Journal, Business and Society, Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of Business Venturing, Journal of Development Entrepreneurship, Nonforprofit and Voluntary Sector Quarterly, and Organization Studies. Dr. Dorado received her undergraduate degree on Business administration from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, her M.A. from MIT, and her Ph.D. from McGill University.
