UCL ISH’s research frequently influences policy-making and has been described by the Smithsonian Institution as ‘world-leading’.

Research

In 2010, with others, UCL ISH was awarded the Europa Nostra Grand Prix for Research for the Noah’s Ark project studying the effects of climate change on heritage buildings and sites.

UCL ISH Director Professor May Cassar has served as special adviser to the inquiry by the House of Lords Select Committee on Science and Technology into Science and Heritage.
