Widening participation

We're proud to offer scholarships and programmes for students and graduates from under-represented backgrounds.

Coming from India with limited financial resources, receiving a scholarship from UCL and IGP was an invaluable opportunity. It allowed me to experience the UK and benefit from a world-class education. The diverse class environment, balanced curriculum focusing on both theoretical concepts and practical group projects, and the wide range of electives were truly enriching.

Applying for the scholarship was surprisingly easy and completely worth it. The support I received through the scholarship made a huge difference, allowing me to focus on my studies without financial stress. I would encourage all prospective students to apply, especially those from Africa. My time at the IGP has been amazing, filled with great learning experiences and networking opportunities, which have provided me with a supportive community. It has been a life changing opportunity!

I was hesitant to pursue postgraduate studies following my time at Warwick and I was ready to decline my offer at UCL purely because of costs. When I stumbled upon the East London scholarship, I decided to try my luck and apply! The process was very smooth and easy, and I was extremely happy to find out that I have been shortlisted as one of the Greenwich Borough applicants! I am extremely grateful for this opportunity and for being able to continue my passion for sustainability.

It has been both rewarding and fulfilling embarking on the MSc PIE Programme at the IGP as a Commonwealth Scholar. I was inspired, supported and equipped in more ways than one and I am confident that I now have a lot to offer to the world. As I go on to take up the next challenge in my career, IGP will definitely be proud of the impacts I will be bringing to my organization consequent upon what I have gained and taken from the programme.

Receiving the Chevening Scholarship to join the Master's programme in Global Prosperity is an incredible privilege. I still remember the overwhelming excitement when I received both the scholarship result from Chevening and the admission result from UCL. This marked the beginning of a truly eye-opening journey which, as my supervisor often described his module, was 'challenging but very much worthwhile'.
