Bartlett PhD Conference 2026
Join fellow PhD researchers from across the faculty for the Bartlett PhD Conference
Overview
Join fellow PhD researchers from across the faculty for the Bartlett PhD Conference - a day dedicated to sharing research, sparking collaboration, and strengthening your network with like-minded peers across the Bartlett.
This year’s conference centres on three interdisciplinary themes that speak to the urgent questions shaping our world:
🔹 Buildings and Cities: Historical and Future Developments
🔹 The Climate Crisis
🔹 Fairer Futures
This event is designed for Bartlett PhD students across the faculty to present research, learn from one another, and make meaningful connections.
Networking is a vital part of academic life, helping refine ideas, broaden perspectives, and create opportunities for future collaborations.
The day will feature:
- Research presentations
- Themed panel discussions
- Cross‑disciplinary networking opportunities
Faculty 3MT Competition
The conference will also host the Faculty Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competition.
Nominated students will present their PhD research in just three minutes, using a single PowerPoint slide to communicate their ideas clearly and creatively.
Results will be announced during the networking reception - a great chance to celebrate your peers and continue conversations sparked throughout the day.
Come along to share your work, support fellow researchers, and be inspired by the range of ideas shaping our collective future.
This event will include a light lunch and networking reception where the winner of the Faculty Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competition will be announced.
The conference themes will run across two rooms in Central House (G01 and 225); an Eventbrite ticket is required for admission, and entry to each room will operate on a first‑come, first‑served basis and is subject to capacity.
