Environmental Design and Engineering alumni workshop

We are delighted to invite you to an evening of ideas, insights, and connection, bringing our alumni together to shape the future of environmental design.

This event brings together alumni and colleagues from the UCL Institute of Environmental Design and Engineering (IEDE) at the Bartlett Faculty of the Built Environment for an intellectually stimulating and socially engaging evening.

All alumni from our MSc programmes are welcome:

• Environmental Design and Engineering MSc
• Health, Wellbeing and Sustainable Buildings MSc
• Smart Buildings and Digital Engineering MSc
• Light and Lighting MSc

The workshop is designed as a structured yet informal forum for reflection and exchange, creating space to discuss how practice is changing, how education can best respond, and how UCL can continue to support excellence in the field.

Your insights and experiences will help inform the future direction of teaching and programme development at UCL, while strengthening meaningful academic and professional connections within the alumni community.

The programme will feature a short keynote, panel discussions, and interactive sessions focused on topics such as health and wellbeing in buildings, zero-carbon design, digital and smart buildings, and light and lighting.

Discussions will address shifts in professional practice, emerging skills and knowledge gaps, and the evolving relationship between education and practice.

Following the formal programme, you are warmly invited to stay for networking over canapés and wine.

This will be an opportunity to reconnect with fellow alumni, meet academics and practitioners, and make new professional connections in a relaxed and convivial setting.
