Development through Incremental Urbanism and Civic Engagement
A talk with Carolina Deik
Carolina Deik will present Tejidos Urbanos, a programme that seeks to transform Bogotá’s urban environments through civic participation, culture, and community-based interventions.
The session will explore how community engagement can be reimagined and how public urban interventions can contribute to strengthening citizen trust, fostering local leadership, and building meaningful connections between residents, public institutions, and the private sector.
Drawing on this experience, the talk will reflect on how collaborative approaches to urban governance can contribute to social cohesion, neighbourhood revitalisation, and the creation of public value.
