Join Architecture BSc student Ayla Maydanchi for the tour Designing Otherwise: Architectures Beyond the Default exploring how architecture can move beyond the assumed "default" to design with and for diverse bodies and lived experiences historically excluded from its thinking.

This tour will examine projects across the Bartlett Summer Show 2026 that challenge conventional approaches to design and foreground alternative perspectives on accessibility, inclusion and the built environment.

Join Architecture MArch student Charlotte Henrich for the tour Design through Research: Creating Architectural Propositions Informed by Real-Life Data, exploring how interdisciplinary research can lead to innovative architectural design solutions.

Focusing on work from the Bartlett's Architecture MArch programme, this tour will examine the diverse ways students translate research into design, from material investigations to landscape ecologies. Drawing on her own experience in Unit 11, Charlotte will highlight projects that demonstrate how real-world data, observation and research can inform architectural responses to contemporary challenges.

Join Architecture BSc student Christopher Tao for the tour Fictions & Fabrications: Navigating Narrative and Technique Across Unit Pedagogies, exploring the relationship between storytelling, representation and making in architectural education.

This tour will examine projects across the Bartlett Summer Show 2026 that use narrative, fiction and fabrication techniques to generate architectural ideas. Through a selection of student work, Christopher will explore how different units approach design through diverse pedagogies, creative methods and forms of representation.

This tour will examine projects across the Bartlett Summer Show 2026 that respond to the social, material and spatial conditions of specific sites, highlighting how designers translate research and real-world observations into architectural propositions. Through a selection of student work, the tour will reveal the diverse ways architecture engages with place, people and contemporary challenges.

Join Architectural & Interdisciplinary Studies BSc student Ruby Scaife for the tour Architecture in the Making: Craft, Community and Expanding Architectural Practice.

Drawing on her own practice, which focuses on craft, community construction, world-building and storytelling, Ruby will explore how architecture can be understood through making and through meaningful engagement with the people who experience it.

This tour will highlight projects across the Bartlett Summer Show 2026 that use craft, collaboration and material experimentation as tools for connecting with communities and expanding architecture beyond its conventional confines. Through a selection of student work, the tour will consider how architectural practice can be shaped by participation, local knowledge and collective acts of making.

Ruby's own projects have included designing workwear for local female gardeners, creating site-specific gargoyles to encourage educational engagement, and producing zines and posters that use storytelling to connect people with place.
