Does it matter how we talk about prosperity in the UK?
Join us for an event exploring different metrics and approaches to measuring prosperity in the UK.
Why does it matter how we talk about prosperity and prosperous places? Why is it important to have this conversation now?
We are convening leading voices from government, academia, and public agencies for a discussion on emerging approaches to measuring prosperity in the UK and what it would take to translate these metrics into practice.
In a conversation chaired by Prof John Tomaney (Professor of Urban and Regional Planning in the Bartlett School of Planning, and Pro-Provost (Regional Communities) at UCL), we will be putting forward a provocation that will spark a lively and substantive exchange between a fantastic ensemble of speakers.
By the end of the session, we aim to have mapped out how these new metrics could be implemented at different levels in the UK and the possible challenges for this.
Do not hesitate to join us online or in person for a rich and momentous conversation!
