Connecting values, conservation, and design: recent cultural landscape projects
Join us for a virtual guest lecture with Prof Randall Mason, Chair of Historic Preservation at The University of Pennsylvania Stuart Weitzman School of Design.
Caring for a place starts with understanding what people value about it and how landscapes have been shaped over time. In this public lecture UCL Institute for Sustainable Heritage welcomes Prof Randall Mason, Chair of Historic Preservation at the University of Pennsylvania’s Weitzman School of Design, who will explore three recent projects that bring these ideas to life, including work in US national parks. He will share how this approach can guide design and conservation in ways that are sustainable and meaningful to communities.
This virtual guest lecture is open to all and offers a chance to see how heritage, people and landscape come together in real-world projects.
