Challenges and Opportunities for Global Carbon Peak & Neutrality Transition

Co-hosted by the Institute for Carbon Neutrality and the Department of Earth System Science of Tsinghua University, this event will invite governments, media, universities, institutes and NGOs to discuss challenges and opportunities for emerging economies to achieve carbon peaking and carbon neutrality under the dual pressure of meeting global climate action targets and their own economic development.
To better capture global carbon emission trends, future global climate governance needs to focus on countries, sectors and regions with huge emission potential based on complete data. The Institute for Carbon Neutrality of Tsinghua University has organized several teams to make rapid progress in the field of basic data for global multilevel carbon emission research, aiming to provide scientific and technological support for global climate change response, global carbon-neutral transition and global emission reduction actions, especially in South-South cooperation.
