Open Day - Architectural History MA and Architecture & Historic Urban Environments MA

The first MA of its kind, The Bartlett's Architectural History programme enjoys a leading reputation for the intensive historical, theoretical and critical study of architecture. Rather than dealing with architecture exclusively through the work of famous individuals, landmark buildings, stylistic classification or normative categories, the programme locates architecture within social, ideological, creative, political, material, technological, theoretical and urban processes. 

The Architecture & Historic Urban Environments MA programme pioneers a fresh and critical approach to architecture and historic urban environments at a world-leading architecture school. In tandem with developing a robust theoretical and practical understanding of different sites and critical methods, students have the opportunity to develop their own design practice, thinking creatively about how historic urban environments might thrive sustainably in an uncertain future.
