As leader of a growing spatial intelligence company I think, worry, and even obsess over the people I need to keep my business successful. I will use project examples and general observations to illustrate some of the traits I believe make for successful colleagues in my business (your mileage may vary.... what I need isn't what everyone needs or what everyone is!!).

I have worked in location analytics for "a long time". I guess I would be called a data scientist nowadays, but back in the day I started was an analyst, a modeller and an engineer. I set up Geolytix 9 years ago, and we have grown into a roughly forty strong group of spatial data scientists, engineers, location planners and developers. We help decide where to put stuff.
