Please note: In light of ongoing developments with coronavirus, we have taken the decision to postpone What is 'race' doing in a nice field like the built environment?, due to take place on 17 March 2020.

We are working on a new date for the launch of our “Race” and Space curriculum, and will be in touch to confirm when it is rescheduled. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your understanding.

About this event

'Race' and Space is a new curriculum that has been developed by colleagues across The Bartlett, UCL Faculty of the Built Environment, specifically for other colleagues and students. It responds to a need for greater understanding of 'race' and where and how it affects the built environment, and a demand for practical sources of support for teachers and learners.

Hear from our panel of speakers before sharing your thoughts and experiences of 'race' and the built environment curriculum.

The discussion is from 2-4pm. After the discussion there will be a chance to network and collect a copy of the new curriculum between 4-6pm.

This event is hosted by The Bartlett's Vice Dean for Equality, Diversity and Inclusion.

Spatial justice is in the core of his research and consultancy work, teaching and activism. This is largely based on understanding how history, power and structural inequalities (class, gender, race, age) interact to produce urban disparities.
