Lecturer's Abstract
Jesse Reiser discusses a series of ongoing projects at his practice RUR Architecture, from conception to realisation. He explores the complex interrelationships that recent projects Taipei Music Center and the Kaohsiung Port Terminal in Taiwan weave between technology, expression, and politics.
Jesse also draws from the firm’s recent book Projects and Their Consequences, and proposes an alternate understanding of the architectural project in different firms.
Biography
Jesse Reiser is a principal of RUR Architecture in New York, co-founder of design firm Reiser + Umemoto and a Professor of Architecture at Princeton University.
