*POSTPONED* The future of infrastructure projects: value enablers and delivery models
This event has been postponed until further notice. If you have already booked your ticket we will be in touch.

Join us for a research event concluding a recent ESRC-funded project exploring value and benefit in infrastructure projects.
The evening will feature a short presentation of research findings followed by a thought provoking panel discussion with leading industry representatives in infrastructure and major project delivery. The event will be followed by a networking drinks reception.
The delivery of major projects in the UK has witnessed a number of developments in recent years.
The controversy around the HS2 and Crossrail schemes, the collapse of Carillion and demise of the Private Finance Initiative (PFI) have all contributed towards considerable challenges for the project investment, finance and delivery landscape. More positively, the formation of the Infrastructure and Projects Authority (IPA) provides a major opportunity for advancing the practice of projects delivery – across both private and public sectors.
As the global economy enters a new era, there is considerable uncertainty regarding the future of the delivery of infrastructure projects. However, this uncertainty opens up opportunities for value creation and benefit realisation we are yet to discover.
Dr Vedran Zerjav has recently concluded a two year research programme, funded by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC), examining the issues surrounding the value of infrastructure projects. Based on extensive input from a variety of partners in the international infrastructure delivery sector, the research focussed on unpacking the governance, institutional and stakeholder arrangements and innovation opportunities that can unlock the value in infrastructure projects.
