Reimagining the Holloway Prison Site
UCL Project Presentation & Exhibition

You are warmly invited to an interactive discussion and an opportunity to leave your feedback on proposals for the future of Holloway Prison site.
In light of the local community campaign, the Bartlett School of Planning, University College London, adopted the Holloway Prison site in one of their Masters modules last year. The result is a set of urban design proposals reimagining the Holloway Prison site after development, following Islington Council’s SPD, prepared by over 70 postgraduate students.
Please join us to review and discuss the projects at Islington Town Hall, rooms 5&6 on Friday 31 May from 5 to 7.30pm. The students will present their projects, followed by commentary and discussions with academics from UCL, members of the local community and Islington Planning and Housing Departments. Audience members will be provided with comment sheets to fill out during the discussion and hand in at the end. The event will form part of a consultation by the Community Plan for Holloway’s Architects and Planners Group, as well as providing feedback for the students’ projects.
Agenda:
- Introduction (Omar Sherif)
- Presentation of the academic module and the project (Juliana Martins)
- Projects presentations (UCL Students)
- Commentary (Diarmaid Ward, Sakiba Gurda, Architects and Planners Group)
- Audience Discussion

The projects will be exhibited before and after the event for visitors who would like to discuss ideas with the students and provide direct feedback.
