Two guided tours of The Bartlett Summer Show 2019 will occur concurrently, tailored for deaf or blind and partially sighted visitors.

British Sign Language Tour
19:00 – 20:00

Architect Martin Glover leads this Deaf-led tour of the school's Summer Show, discussing in-depth a selection of works from across the six floors of the exhibition.

Audio Described Tour
18:30 – 20:00

Partially-sighted artists Zoe Partington and Sally Booth, from Dis/Ordinary Architecture, lead an audio-described tour of a selection of works from the Summer Show, including some touch tour opportunities.

Biographies

Zoe Partington

Zoe is a contemporary artist, who uses her installations to develop viscerally-powerful audio visual and tactile representations of disabled people’s journeys and experiences through spaces. She predominantly works as a creative consultant and trainer for the cultural sector, as well as a researcher, auditor and creative equality trainer for museums and galleries who wish to develop their skills and experience for meeting the needs of disabled visitors.

Sally Booth

Sally is a visual artist whose main specialism is drawing and painting. Her work is site specific, often made travelling away on residencies or participative projects in response to a particular location. She often uses unconventional drawing materials and wide angle, panoramic formats. One of her 3D live drawing installations took place outside the National Theatre on the South Bank.

Sally has personal and professional experience of visual impairment. She currently works as a freelance trainer for VocalEyes. She facilitates art workshops and audio described tours and teaches in a variety of galleries, museums and community spaces.
