Ecology of Desires: A closer look into the cooperative urban re-engineering

Alejandro Haiek Coll
We are delighted to welcome Alejandro Haiek Coll to discuss his research in partnership with Central Saint Martins and as part of their Autumn Lecture Series.
Venezuelan architect and artist Alejandro’s research examines the relations between public landscapes, post-industrial ecologies, and network governability politics. His work explores social innovations that integrate science, culture, and local intelligences. His projects develop at the intersection between design, arts, and engineering. Alejandro Haiek is a co-founder and Director of LAB.PRO.FAB and The Public Machine, Caracas based non-profits that seeks to understand the city as a social system, and the built environment as the shaper of that system. He is currently working as a lecturer at the Umeå School of Architecture, Sweden.
This event is done in partnership with the Spatial Practices Lecture Series at UAL: Central Saint Martins.
