Good for you, good for the city: urban mobility reimagined | Scott Cain

Scott is founder and CEO of RunFriendly, a new venture that helps more of us run and move actively in cities more of the time. RunFriendly's first digital product is like an 'Airbnb for showers'. It matches (and helps grow) demand among runners & cyclists with under-utilised showers and changing facilities in hotels, gyms etc. With a simple subscription model, RunFriendly helps overcome one of the major barriers to active travel, whilst helping hotels, gyms and other venues sweat their assets to generate new income.

Scott is a contributor to the Guardian, Runner’s World and Men’s Running on topics relating to running and cities, as well as an Honorary Senior Research Fellow at UCL Bartlett, in the Centre for Advanced Spatial Analysis. He is also the founder of Venlige, which helps urban technology businesses meet the changing needs of people cities; not least to enhance health and wellbeing.

Previously Scott was Chief Business Officer and Exec Director at the Future Cities Catapult, the UK’s world-leading urban innovation centre. Prior to that Scott was CEO at Enterprise UK, helping to create a more entrepreneurial culture among young people in the UK.  Scott also co-founded and chaired Global Entrepreneurship Week, for which he remains a Non Executive Director of Global Entrepreneurship Network (GENUK).
