22 Feb 2017 | 5pm | Making Journalism Computational, Open and Local | Megan Lucero

Megan Lucero will be joining us to talk about how she is tackling journalism in 2017 in her new role as the Director of the Local Data Lab at the Bureau of Investigative Journalism. Previously the Data Editor at The Times and Sunday Times, Megan spearheaded computational investigative journalism at the two papers. She will go behind the scenes of some of her biggest investigations and the innovation used to establish robot journalism in The Times and Sunday Times investigative units. Fresh in her new role, she is now applying these methods for the whole of the UK in an attempt to disrupt UK journalism and support the local media scene. She will be lending us her thoughts and plans for this next challenge.
