MSc Light & Lighting first programme outside North America to partner NCQLP Internship LC Programme

8 June 2016

abstract news

The MSc Light and Lighting course has recently been recognised by the National Council on Qualifications for the Lighting Professions (NCQLP) as providing the necessary level of education in lighting for us to become a Program Partner in their Internship LC Program. The NCQLP (the US based National Council on Qualifications for the Lighting Profession). Being partners in this programme allows our students to achieve Intern LC status and progress to full LC status after two years of experience. We are the first programme outside North America to achieve this status.

The NCQLP reviewed UCL IEDE’s application carefully in terms of its eligibility as well as its compliance with the criteria for those institutions whose program offerings, goals and objectives met the established requirements. Many congratulations to the MSc Light & Lighting team, led by Peter Raynham, on this success.
