Research excellence

You will join an interdisciplinary School with a mission to create sustainable, resilient and adaptable low carbon societies. Our research brings together multidisciplinary perspectives to examine challenges across energy demand, energy supply and energy systems. We're part of The Bartlett, UCL's Faculty of the Built Environment, where the UK’s most ‘World Leading’ and ‘Internationally Excellent’ built environment research is undertaken in the UK (REF 2021).

Centres for Doctoral Training

We have been home to two Centres for Doctoral Training (CDT) addressing energy demand and energy resilience in the built environment. These centres have hosted hundreds of PhD candidates producing their own original research on these challenges.
