Research summary

Daisy's research focuses onthe contribution of the energy industry to the transition towards a CircularEconomy. She studies the integration of Circular Economy principles atstrategic and operational levels of companies active in the energy value chain,with a focus on electric utilities.

Methods include content andthematic analysis, statistical data analysis, case study research, and expertelicitation techniques.

Her research falls withinthe field of industrial ecology, and interferes with other fields, such asbusiness management, industrial engineering and environmental economics.

Teaching summary

Daisy is involved in teaching activities for a summer course on Climate Change at UCL and for a short course on Circular Economy in the Oil & Gas industry at Nord University (Norway).


Daisy joined UCL Energy Institute in 2018 for a part-time PhD in Energy.

She also works full-time as sustainability analyst in the energy industry.

Before starting her PhD, she obtained a Bachelors and Masters in Management Engineering at the University of Brussels. She was selected to be part of the QTEM programme for her Masters, which provides reinforced analytical skills and international exposure.
